Date: September 30, 2001

AIX Workload Manager (WLM) is a "no-charge" operating system component introduced in AIX Version 4.3.3. With WLM you can control the amount of CPU and memory used by users and applications. The benefits of WLM include helping maintain service levels, and reducing the impact of some poorly behaved applications.
