The maximum baud rate that can used for communications in a QuickBASIC
program is 9600.

Valid baud rates for QuickBASIC in bits per second (BPS) are as
follows:

   75, 110, 150, 300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 4800, 9600

The default baud setting is 300 BPS. This information applies to the
following products:

1. QuickBASIC Versions 2.00, 2.01, 3.00, 4.00, 4.00b, and 4.50

2. The Microsoft BASIC Compiler Versions 6.00 and 6.00b for MS-DOS and
   MS OS/2

3. The Microsoft BASIC PDS Version 7.00 for MS-DOS and MS OS/2

4. The Microsoft GW-BASIC Interpreter Version 3.20
