SYMPTOMS
========

When you use the memory-resident Monitor program (MONITOR.COM) version 3.0b,
which is provided with the MS-DOS workstation of Microsoft Mail for PC Networks,
to read and save an attachment using the Attachments-Save option, the attachment
saves to the root directory instead of to the path you specify.

This problem occurs only with Monitor version 3.0b; it does not occur with
Monitor version 3.0.

RESOLUTION
==========

To avoid this problem, use Monitor version 3.0.

Monitor versions 3.0 and 3.0b have the following file sizes and dates:

                        File Size    Date
------------------------------------------
Monitor version 3.0b     65692        9/92
Monitor version 3.0      65756        6/92
