SYMPTOMS
========

STOP: 0x0000001E is returned while running Windows NT Server on a multiprocessor
computer.

CAUSE
=====

This problem occurs due to a contention condition involving an IO request Packet
submitted by the Server service.


RESOLUTION
==========

The Windows NT kernel has been modified to prevent the deadlock from occurring.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.51. This
problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT
