SYMPTOMS
========
Batch files using line feeds, instead of line feeds and carriage returns, stop
executing prematurely with Windows NT version 3.51. The same batch files execute
correctly with version 3.5.
NOTE: Batch files with only line feeds are common in UNIX.
RESOLUTION
==========
To correct this problem, install the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT
version 3.51.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.51. This
problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT
