SUMMARY

MSN, The Microsoft Network, requires the use of Windows 95 long file names. If
long file name support is turned off, you cannot connect to MSN.

To turn on long file name support, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click System.

3. On the Performance tab, click File System.

4. On the Troubleshooting tab, click "Disable long name preservation for old
  programs" to remove the check mark, and then click OK.
