SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Bookshelf '96-'97 to a destination other than the
default folder, you receive the following error message after you enter the new
destination:
The specified folder is invalid, incomplete, too long, or write-protected.
CAUSE
=====
The path to the destination folder is greater than 57 characters.
RESOLUTION
==========
Enter a path with no more than 57 characters total.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Bookshelf '96-'97 for
Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
