SYMPTOMS

If you are using a ViewSonic 15G monitor with an S3 765 display adapter and you
change the display resolution to 640 x 480 x 32 with a refresh rate of 90, the
display will be black.
CAUSE
=====
The refresh rate is set too high for this monitor and display adapter
combination.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve the problem, choose a lower refresh rate.
