SYMPTOMS
========

A file on a Windows NT 4.0 computer may be deleted while it is being renamed.
This problem can result in errors being returned to applications, and unexpected
file system behavior.

CAUSE
=====

NTFS does not prevent a file from being deleted while a rename is in progress.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows NT version
4.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 U.S.
Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the
