SYMPTOMS
========

You see "Illegal Player" listed as a player name in Microsoft Golf, version 3.0.

CAUSE
=====

This occurs if a player has become corrupt, or when a player from a previous
version of Golf does not get removed properly after an installation of Golf 3.0
to the same folder.

RESOLUTION
==========

If "Illegal Player" appears as an available player, simply delete and recreate
the player.

To delete the player in Golf 3.0, do the following:

1. Start Microsoft Golf, version 3.0.

2. Click New Game.

3. Click on Illegal Player in the available or selected player list to select
  it.

4. Click Edit.

5. Click Delete.

6. Click Yes when asked if you want to permanently remove the player.

To recreate a new player, click New Game, click Create, and select the available
options.
