SYMPTOMS
========

Binary incompatibility warnings may be generated even though none of the
declarations cited in the warnings have changed. This may occur when a function
in a class makes a reference to a non-creatable class. As a result, binary
compatibility will be broken.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the
beginning of this article. This bug has been fixed in Visual Studio 97 Service
Pack 2.
