SYMPTOMS
========

After you remove MSN, The Microsoft Network, from your computer, the MSN icon
may still remain on the desktop.

CAUSE
=====

Some components of MSN Program Viewer may not have been properly removed.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, reinstall and then remove Program Viewer. To do so,
follow these steps:

1. Insert the MSN 2.0 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. If the Auto Insert
  Notification option is turned on, close the Welcome To MSN window that opens
  on the desktop.

2. Double-click My Computer.

3. Right-click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then click Explore.

4. Double-click the Msnsetup folder.

5. Double-click the Compnts folder.

6. Double-click the Coreui.exe file.

7. Double-click the Newcore.exe file.

8. Double-click the Controls.exe file.

9. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

10. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

11. Double-click Add/Remove programs.

12. In the list of installed programs, click MSN Program Viewer Controls, and
  then click Add/Remove.

13. In the list of installed programs, click MSN Program Viewer, and then click
  Add/Remove.

14. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
