SYMPTOMS
========

On a computer with a Cirrus Logic CL-PD6832 CardBus controller running Windows
95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2), audio output may be distorted or inaudible
while you are starting Windows or simultaneously transferring files.

CAUSE
=====

Certain registers in the CL-PD6832 chip set are not interpreted correctly by
Windows 95, resulting in a direct memory access (DMA) channel conflict.

RESOLUTION
==========


STATUS
======

This problem no longer occurs in Windows 98. To resolve this problem, install
the current version of Windows. For information about the current version of
