To start an Internet-based program using MSN to connect to the Internet, use the
following steps:

1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Dial-Up
  Networking.

  -or-

  Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications,
  and then click Dial-Up Networking.

2. Double-click the MSN connection.

3. In the User Name box, type "MSN/<member_ID>" (without the quotation
  marks), where <member_ID> is your MSN member identification.

4. In the Password box, type your MSN password, and then click Connect.

5. Close the Dial-Up Networking window.

6. After you are connected to MSN, start the Internet-based program you want to
  use.

NOTE: When you connect to MSN using these steps, MSN does not disconnect from the
Internet automatically. To disconnect from the Internet, either double-click the
Dial-Up Networking icon on the taskbar or click the Connected To <Your
ISP> button on the taskbar, and then click Disconnect.
