SYMPTOMS
========
An inventory package using "Checksum" and/or "CRC" fails to be reported in
software inventory, and does not appear under the Packages icon in Personal
Computer Properties.
NOTE: This problem does not occur on client computers running Windows NT.
WORKAROUND
==========
To work around this problem, do not use Checksum or CRC as defined parameters
for your inventory packages.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server
version 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here
in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
