SYMPTOMS
========

When the Appearance property of a check box is set to "0 - Flat," the check box
always appears as three-dimensional or "1 - 3D." The backcolor of the check box
still behaves normally when the Appearance property is set to "0 - Flat," and
defaults to the window background color of the system.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the
beginning of this article.
