IMPORTANT: The individual hotfix that is available is for Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 only. Do not apply the individual hotfix to a computer running Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5. Applying Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 to a computer running Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5 will resolve this problem.

SYMPTOMS
========

The ReleaseDC API fails to release a device context intermittantly, and you see
the following error messages:

  lasterror = 87 ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER

  laststatus = 0xc000007c STATUS_NO_TOKEN

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or
the individual hotfix.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was
