SYMPTOMS

When you play Microsoft Age of Empires II Expansion: The Conquerors, some units
or technologies may not be available.
CAUSE
=====
This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true:
- The unit or technology is not available for the civilization that you are
using.
- You have enabled the All Techs setting in the game.
RESOLUTION
==========
To resolve this issue, use the following methods.
Unit or Technology Is Not Available for the Civilization
--------------------------------------------------------
To resolve this issue, you need to perform the required research for certain
units and technologies that are available for the civilization that you are
using.
To view the available technologies for the civilization that you are using, click
the Technology Tree icon in the upper-right corner of the game screen.
Disable the All Techs Setting in the Game
-----------------------------------------
To disable the All Techs setting in the game:
1. On the startup screen, click Standard Game.
2. Under Game Settings, click to clear the check mark next to All Techs.
3. Click Start Game.
NOTE: If you enable the All Techs setting, the setting is automatically saved.
When you quit the game, the setting is enabled the next time that you start the
game.
