SYMPTOMS
========

When you assign the accelerate function in Microsoft Motocross Madness or
Microsoft Motocross Madness 2 to the throttle control on any of the Microsoft
SideWinder game controllers listed at the beginning of this article, the
throttle control does not respond.


CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs because Motocross Madness and Motocross Madness 2 can only
assign functions to game controller buttons.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this issue, assign the acceleration function to a button on your
game controller.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are
listed at the beginning of this article.
