SYMPTOMS
========

While signed in to MSN Explorer 6.1, you double-click the MSN Messenger icon in
the system tray (the area of the screen by the clock) to open MSN Messenger. You
right-click a contact in the list who is offline, and then click Send Mail. A
new MSN Explorer window appears for composing the e-mail, but an "Action
Cancelled" error message may appear.

CAUSE
=====

This is a known issue that will be corrected in a future release of MSN
Explorer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To send a message to the contact

1. Open the MSN Explorer window and click the E-mail icon at the top.

2. Do one of the following:
   - Click the Write E-mail tab, and then type the e-mail address of the
     contact.

   - If the contact is in the Address Book, and you have selected the option to
     display this list, click the Write E-mail tab at the top, and then select
     the contact from the list to the right of the To: box.

   - Click the Address Book tab, and then select the appropriate e-mail
     address.
