abstract

This version of INSTALL.NLM and DSI.NLM addresses the problem of server abends if gateway volumes are mounted when doing a volume upgrade through DS. This version also supports server-to-server install using NWIP for native v4.1.

installation

Copy the files from this download to the CD-ROM image on the network as follows:

INSTALL.NLM to the NW410\boot and NW410\system\preinst directories.

INSTALL.MSG to the nw410\boot\nls\4 and nw410\system\preinst\nls\4 directories.

NETMAIN.ILS to the NW410\install\english directory.

DSI.NLM to the NW410\system\preinst directory.

DSI.MSG to the nw410\system\preinst\nls\4 directory.

Other Information:

This INSTALL.NLM will support server-to-server install using NWIP only for native v4.1, not SFTIII or NetWare for OS2.

Server-to-server copy in INSTALL using NWIP is supported only for the
English language.

Remote install of NWIP during the installation process is not supported.
This feature should be provided by PINSTALL.NLM which ships with the
NWIP disk.

This version of INSTALL.NLM requires extra disk space on the DOS partition from which the server booted. The files and file sizes (approximate) that are copied by this version of INSTALL over and above v4.1 INSTALL is indicated below:
