abstract

This patch contains an updated X25TSM.NLM. It addresses X.25 problems with FTP intermittently hanging the server and Permanent Virtual Connection (PVC) table initializing improperly. It is recommended for all sites running MPR 3.0.

installation

1. Make a backup copy of the X25TSM.NLM file.

2. Copy the new X25TSM.NLM file to the SYS:\SYSTEM directory and reload.

symptoms

1. FTP intermittently hangs.

2. Permanent Virtual Connection (PVC) table initializing improperly.

solutions

Apply the contained X25TSM.NLM.

1. X.25 packet layer not re-initializing the "more data flag" when a connection is cleared. The problem has been fixed by re-initializing the "more data flag" when the connection is cleared.

2. X25TSM.NLM changed to create the PVC initialization table properly. Also, the maximum number of PVCs supported per X.25 interface has been increased to 255.
