abstract

NTSTRK is "TRACK ON" for the client instead of at the fileserver. It prints the same sap information from the lan/wan.

THIS PROGRAM IS NOT SUPPORTED BY NOVELL. IT IS FOR TROUBLE SHOOTING PURPOSES ONLY.

installation

1. lsl.com <return>
2. <lan driver> Trackon works on Arcnet, TokenRing, Ethernet
3. ipxodi <return>
4. NTSTRK <return>

You will need to wait one to two minutes before the saps are displayed. If after 3 minutes nothing has been displayed, your workstation is not seeing the network. You need to start checking cabling, NIC cards, etc.

5. To stop NTSTRK press anykey to stop.

issue

NTSTRK can be used for trouble shooting lan connections where the workstation is getting FileServer cannot be found. NTSTRK will run on Arcnet, Token Ring, and Ethernet.

When NTSTRK is running you need to wait up to 3 minutes, if by then NTSTRK has not displayed anything to the screen. The workstation does not see the lan.
