abstract

This Field Test File prevents intermittent file server abends when pressing the F1 key while configuring X.25 parameters via NWCCON.NLM (Configure AIOPAD parameters). This Field Test File is recommended only to NetWare Connect 2.0.30 users who are using IntranetWare or NetWare 4.11 as a host platform.
This is a Field Test File and has not been thoroughly tested by Novell.

installation

From the file server console:
[] Unload NWCCON if loaded
[] Run NWCSTOP.NCF

From a client:
[] Log into the NetWare Connect file server with full rights to SYS:SYSTEM.
[] Create a directory and "explode" FNWCX25.exe into it.
[] Create a backup directory and copy the following files into it:
F:\system\aiopdcon.nlm
F:\system\aiopdcon.dat
F:\system\nls\4\aiopdcon.hlp
F:\system\nls\4\aiopdcon.msg
[] Copy the aiopdcon.nlm and aiopdcon.dat from FNWCX25.exe to F:\system directory.
[] Copy the aiopdcon.msg and aiopdcon.hlp from FNWCX25.exe to F:\system\nls\4 directory.

From the file server console:
[] Run NWCSTART.NCF.

symptoms

AIOPDCON.NLM - Pressing F1 when configuring the AIOPAD parameters inside NWCCON.NLM intermittently causes file server abends. The specific error message seen when this happens is: AIOPDCON.NLM: Page Fault Processor Exception Abend.

solutions

AIOPDCON.NLM - 2.1.0 - Code modified to prevent abend when pressing F1 in X.25 configuration console. (NWCCON.NLM --> Configure AIOPAD Parameters).
