abstract

The files contained are for implementing the ability for Novell servers, routers, and DOS, Windows, OS2, TCPIP clients to SOURCE ROUTE their frames on FDDI, Token-Ring, and PCNET networks. These files include the ability to handle up to 13 Source Routing Bridge hops as specified in the new IEEE SRT specification.

installation

Rename or save any old source routing files and replace with the new source routing files. For load parameters and loading instructions see SROUTE.DOC.

issue

Fixed a problem where ROUTE.NLM was timing out routes and was sending source routing broadcast packets at times when it should not have. This was because ROUTE.NLM was not always updating the timers in the source routing table.

Also updated the documentation (SROUTE.DOC) to list the LSB parameter for ROUTE.NLM and ROUTE.COM.
