UPDATE.EXE from NFSMLAUP.EXE is used to Update the Site ID string on the MLA License Diskettes for Intranetware NFS Services 2.3 or Intranetware Print Services 2.3 for Unix. This Update is necessary for all the MLA license diskettes before the installation of the Product. Please look into readme for more details.

1.Copy the NFSMLAUP.EXE into the hard disk of IBM PC. under the directory UPDATE
example: under directory C:\UPDATE

2. Extract UPDATE.EXE by typing NFSMLAUP.EXE at the Dos prompt
C:\UPDATE\NFSMLAUP.EXE

3. Cover the Write-Protect slot of the MLA License Diskette with Sticker.

4. Insert the License Diskette into Drive A of IBM PC or Equivalent. (Can be a Windows 95 m/c)

5. From C:\UPDATE> prompt , type
     UPDATE.EXE

6. The Program will automatically add the Site id string and display the message

7. You can take out the License Disk and remove the sticker covering the Write-Protect slot of the License Diskette.

When UNISTOP and UNISTART operation is performed after the Intstallation using MLA License installation for the IntraNetWare NFS Services 2.3 or IntraNetWare Print Services 2.3 for Unix. Server Console will display error "Novell Netware Product Kernel Serialization has been Tampered with ! Netware Product Kernel is Unloaded" and subsequently displaying messages as "<XXXXservice> unable to register with Pkernel".
Where <XXXXservice> stands for the Module name i.e, NFSSERV, PLPD

Site ID String on the MLA License was not updated

Run UPDATE.EXE on the MLA License Diskette as shown in the installation instruction.
