NetWare 4.11 Year 2000 fixes. These fixes are also contained in the intraNetWare Support Pack v6.0a and later.

None of the year 2000 issues addressed by this update pose any threat to the network or to data integrity.

PROBLEMS RESOLVED:

RCONSOLE.EXE
When selecting the directory scan option, the year as indicated by the file creation date displays as 100 instead of 00, 134 instead of 34, etc.

UIMPORT.EXE
Failed to properly create expiration dates for both passwords and accounts when the dates are greater than 1999.

NWVQUE3X.DLL
Unable to Defer Printing in NWADMIN.EXE to any date after the year 1999.

NWVQUE95.DLL
Unable to Defer Printing in NWADMIN.EXE to any date after the year 1999.

MENU.OVL
With the NMENU program the only incorrect date is found by hitting the <F2> key and looking at the "Logged On Since" parameter. Logged in since date displays the year as 100 for 2000, 134 for 2034, etc.

VNETWARE.SYS
After the date rollover from 12/31/1999 to 01/01/2000, the OS/2 system date is rolled back to 1980.

CHANGES SINCE 411Y2KP1.EXE:

 3/2/98 - Updated the NWVQUE95.DLL & NWVQUE3X.DLL.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Requirements:
1) Hardware must be year 2000 ready (check with your hardware vendor).
2) intraNetWare Support Pack v4.0 (or later) must be installed. This can be found on the Support Connection CD and on the Internet at
http://www.support.novell.com, Minimum Patch List.

AUTOMATED INSTALLATION:

To install the v4.0 intraNetWare Support Pack and these files at the same time, copy the files contained in this update to the appropriate directory in the intraNetWare Support Pack. Detailed instructions are found in TIP 1 located in the "Issues and Tips" section of the intraNetWare Support Pack readme file.

MANUAL INSTALLATION:

Make a back-up copy or rename the original files before replacing them.

The directory structure is arranged so that files in each directory will be
copied to their respective directory on a server.

For Example:
SYS\PUBLIC\RCONSOLE.EXE should be copied to the server's SYS: volume in the PUBLIC directory.

NOTE: These updates work with all localized versions of intraNetWare.
