abstract

This file includes an updated LPR_GWY.NLM and LPR_GWY.MSG. These can be used with NFS 2.3 / 2.4 and UNIX Print Services 2.3 / 2.4 / 2.5.

This download was reworked in March 2003. The only changes were to the readme and to change the status from beta to public.

installation

Before copying the new files onto your server, rename the existing versions as a backup.

Copy LPR_GWY.NLM into the SYS:SYSTEM directory and LPR_GWY.MSG into the SYS:SYSTEM\NLS\4 directory (for English server language setting).

If you are using a different server language than English (4), then copy the LPR_GWY.MSG-file into the corresponding language directory. The messages for LPR_GWY will be in English only.

issue

Issue 1:
(RFE000000009663)
Maximum timout value for LPR_GWY_MAX_PRT_TIME can now be up to 604800 seconds (1 week). This parameter will be configured in the SYS:ETC\NWPARAMS file, in the [PRINT_ADMIN] section.

Issue 2:
(DEFECT000226089)
LPR_GWY.NLM will now recognize the copy count passed in by the structure provided by PSERVER.NLM. Previous behavior was that regardless of the copy count specified by NPRINT.EXE or CAPTURE.EXE, LPR_GWY.NLM printed the desired job only once.
