General Information
The ThinkPad 600/570 Zip 100 MB UltraslimBay Drive for ThinkPad lets you save valuable hard disk drive (HDD) space. This option increases the storage capacity up to 100 MB on a single, 3.5-inch Zip diskette, providing 70 times more storage than a traditional diskette.

The IBM ThinkPad 600/570 Zip 100MB UltraslimBay Drive offers:

• Sustained data transfer rate of 1.4 MB per second
• Reads/writes standard Zip media
• Easy slide-in installation
• Great for storing and transferring graphics and large databases

ThinkPad 600 and ThinkPad 570 customers can use the Zip disk drive to:

• Transfer large data files
• Store information from the Internet
• Back up HDDs

This storage option can accommodate graphics, photos, sound, and video on a single diskette without compression. In addition to saving disk space, this option delivers up to 25 times the performance (sustained data transfer rate) of the 1.44 MB diskette drive.
