TP 600 - Intermittent 8611 errors
Applicable to: AP-N, AP-S, EMEA
SYMPTOM:
Intermittent 8611 errors on all 2645 system units
CONFIGURATION:
Machine Type : 2645 , all Models
Description : PLANAR FRU
Part Number : 10L1606; 10L1609; 10L1612
SOLUTION:
The following actions should be undertaken by Field engineers/CE/repair center personnel:
Inspect all Planars for Component D18. If component is present it should be removed. The removal of this component will allow VCC5B to power up before the leak current raises its base voltage from 0V to 0.8V thus causing a TrackPoint controller reset failure which results in the 8611 error.
NOTE:
CESAL FTS 98054 has been released to the Field to address this issue.
