TP 770 - Problems with using IBM Voice Recognition Software
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
Poor microphone calibration, or audio does not play when using one of the following voice recognition software applications: "Simply Speaking", "Simply Speaking Gold", "Via Voice", "Via Voice Gold" if customer has already installed IBM AntiVirus (ver 3.0) from the Thinkpad 770 software preload.
SOLUTION:
Turn off the "Check files when accessed" setting in IBM Antivirus or press the "Default Settings" button found in SETUP -> SYSTEM SHIELD.
