56K ISDN International PC Card Modem with GSM Capability - Unable to connect using IBM Global Dialer
Applicable to: AP-N, AP-S, Canada, EMEA, United States
Symptom:
Unable to connect with modem after an apparently flawless installation and setup. There are various error statements that refer to the connection being dropped. May indicate the distant modem is busy, or that the distant modem initiated a disconnect. This occurs during the final verification of the connection as if the logon was not correctly verified by the password. Diagnostics will show the connection progressing normally until one or the other modem issues a disconnect.
Configuration:
Portable PC's (laptops) running Windows 95 or Windows 98. IBM Global Dialer using Dial-Up Networking.
Solution:
After successful install of modem and IBM Global Dialer:
