Description
PORTUPCN.EXE is a self-extracting executable diskette. It creates a bootable diskette. This diskette should be used to update 2140 and 2142 systems which show corrupt characters in Device Manager for the serial port and parallel port entries.

Instructions
1. Extract the diskette by executing PORTUPCN.EXE.
2. Boot the system to be fixed from the diskette created in step 1.
3. After the fix has been applied, remove the diskette and reboot the system.

The system will automatically detect and install the serial port and parallel port drivers while rebooting.
