Netfinity ESCON Adapter - Sharing IRQ's may cause unpredictable results

Problem:
When Installing an ESCON adapter (9086001), unpredictable results may occur if the adapter shares IRQ's. Possible problems could be as follows:

• SNA addresses would not come online to the host unless CS/NT was up with those addresses configured in a link.
• With CS/NT up, the addresses would come online to the host, but a session could not be established to CS/NT. The host PUs stayed in preqc status, and the CS/NT link did not activate. Eventually, CS/NT operations panel showed a big X mark through the ESCON DLC.
• These are only examples of possible problems. Others may occur.

Solution:
Make sure that the ESCON adapter has it's own dedicated IRQ. If 2 ESCON adapters are installed make sure both have their own dedicated IRQ.
