The only models of the 760E/EL that are "thin" base (i.e. will not physically support an internal CD ROM) are:
760E 9546-U4A
760E 9546-U4B
760E 9546-U41 ** Not Listed in Announcement Letter
760E 9546-U42 ** Not Listed in Announcement Letter
There may be other non-US models as well.
All other 760E and 760EL models are "thick" base models and will support the installation of an internal CD ROM 4x or 6x.
