Server95A - Hangs with Windows NT backup
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
When I backup a 95A with Windows NT, it hangs.
Problem Isolation Aids:
None.
Fix:
There is a limitation in the current device driver used on the RAID Controller. Although NT can see the tape drive and will let you configure it, when you use it for a backup, it is liable to hang. The drivers are being fixed; in the interim, you should install the tape drive on another SCSI adapter. Several customers have used the SCSI-2 Fast/Wide adapter successfully.
