TP 600 - How to disable the audio volume control beeps
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
When increasing or decreasing the volume, the beeps that are associated with this function are loud and obtrusive, especially during a presentation.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad 600 running Windows 95/98.
SOLUTION:
From a MS-DOS prompt, type ps2 beep off volume and press Enter.
To re-enable this feature type ps2 beep on volume and press Enter.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
If the PS2 program is not installed on your computer, it is included on the
Utility Diskette for DOS and Personalization
