IBM PC300GL (Type 6267, 6277, 6287) - PC Doctor errors
Applicable to: World-Wide
Text:
The following are examples of errors and suggested solutions when running PC Doctor for DOS, Windows 95/98, or Windows NT on the IBM PC300GL series 6267/77/87 systems:
PC Doctor for Windows NT reports a failed SCSI test
After reloading a system with retail version Windows NT 4.0 and launching PC Doctor for Windows NT, the following error log is generated in the Dr. Watson utility:
"An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated. Diagscsi.p3t.exe Exception Access Violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x77f88ad7"
The false error message is caused by SCSI driver files that are loaded in retail Windows NT that are not used in a non-SCSI system.
DIMM EEPROM ID test returns inconsistent results
After booting the system to PC Doctor for DOS v2.0.453 and running the "DIMM EEPROM ID Test" located under Diagnostics, Other Devices, PC Doctor intermittently returns a PASS or NA test result.
No erroneous failure occurs when running this test. This is a limitation of PC Doctor for DOS v2.0.453 and will be corrected in an updated release.
