Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
During the unattended installation of Windows NT, the AGP video driver does not install, the standard VGA driver is installed instead.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad 600E or 770X attempting to do an unattended installation of Windows NT.
SOLUTION:
There is an article on the Microsoft Knowledge Base system that addresses the issue of not being able to do an unattended installation of AGP video drivers. The article provides the following instructions to correct this:
1. HAL.DL_ in \I386 directory should be renamed to HAL.OR_.
2. HAL486C.DLL should be renamed to HAL486C.ORG.
3. Then the HAL.DLL and HAL486C.DLL files should be copied from the \SP3\I386 directory to the \I386 directory.
