Netfinity 7000 M10 - On/Off switch cable detect not working

Abstract: ON/OFF switch cable detect not working.
SYMPTOM:
The system may not respond to ON/OFF, RESET, SCROLL or ENTER switches on the front panel and the system will NOT display any error. There are no cable detect codes installed in system.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
FIX:
No permanent fix available.
WORKAROUND:
If system control buttons, ON/OFF, RESET, SCROLL and ENTER are not working, lift the top cover of the system and make sure the ends of all of the above switches are connected to the back of the front panel through a set of cables. Make sure that this cable is seated firmly to the back of the front panel. If cables are attached and buttons still do not function, turn system off by removing AC chord and replugging AC, then restart.
