Netfinity 5500 - Unable to mount volumes in NetWare 4.11 with ServeRAID II and multiple SCSI adapters installed
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
If a customer is using multiple SCSI adapters with a ServeRAID II adapter and NetWare v4.11, the ServeRAID II device driver is passed a data structure any time that a drive is mounted. If the data structure passed to the driver by Novell does not zero out the return code field, the value for an abort is returned. If a ServeRAID II is in the system by itself, you will never see the problem. The customer sees the problem as an inability to mount volumes on any ServeRAID II adapter other than the first one loaded in the system. This also affects hot-plug PCI operations for ServeRAID II adapter.
Fix:
The customer needs to install the NetWare ServeRAID II device driver v2.81 to fix this problem.
