IBM PC300GL (Type 6267, 6277, 6287) - IBM 3270 network adapter does not initialize

SYMPTOM:
After installing an IBM 3270 networking adapter in the system, the adapter does not initialize or does not work.
PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:
This tip applies, but is not limited to IBM PC300L Series 6267/77/87 systems installed with a 3270 adapter that requires interrupt 9 (IRQ 9) to function properly.
FIX:
In the F1 Setup utility perform the following steps:
1. Under Advanced Power Management, disable ACPI BIOS.
2. Under ISA Legacy Resources, set IRQ 9 to "Reserved."
