TP Dock I,Dock II - How to view and alter SCSI settings
Applicable to: World-Wide
This document contains information on how to determine the SCSI resources being used by the Docking Station 1 and 2.
This document provices basic instructions for determining what the resources being used by the SCSI controller on the Dock 1 and 2 are using. Choose which Docking Station you are using:
- Docking Station 1 (3545-001)
- Docking Station 2 (3546-001)
Docking Station 1 (3545-001):
The Docking Station 1 uses a Future Domain 850 controller. It's default hardware settings are:
- I/O Port: None
- IRQ: 11
- ROM BIOS: CA00-CBFF
You can alter the hardware BIOS settings by using the dip switches. Only the middle two switches are used, the switches are identified as 2-SCSI SW0 3-SCSI SW1.

Docking Station 2 (3546-001):
The Docking Station 2 uses an Adaptec AHA-1520 controller. It's default hardware settings are:
- I/O Port: 340
- IRQ: 11
- ROM BIOS: DC00-DFFF
You can alter the BIOS settings by using the dip switches. The table below lists the various combinations and effect.

- Configure/View Host Adapter Settings.
- SCSI Disk Utilities.
Select the Configure/View option. The primary entries you want are:
- Host Adapter Interrupt (IRQ.)
- Shows the current setting and allows you to select a different IRQ for the SCSI adapter to use.
- Host Adapter SCSI Termination.
- Allows you to select either Automatic or Disabled.
- Advanced Configuration Options.
- Allows you to get to Host Adapter BIOS to disable it.
Resetting System:
After selecting Configure/View Option you can also reset the SCSI system to factory defaults by pressing the F6 key.
