IBM PC300GL (Type 6267, 6277, 6287) - ViaVoice prompts to "Reload" the system after uninstall
Applicable to: World-Wide
Symptom:
After selecting ViaVoice as part of a group of applications to uninstall via the Software Select CD, ViaVoice prompts the user to "reload" the system before proceeding.
Problem isolation aids:
This tip applies, but is not limited to, IBM PC300GL series 6267/77/87 systems running Windows 95/98 or Windows NT.
Fix:
If ViaVoice is not the last application to be uninstalled, the user must select to restart the system when prompted by ViaVoice in order for the uninstall to complete. Once restarted, the user must go back and begin uninstalling any applications that were not uninstalled prior to the forced reboot caused by uninstalling ViaVoice.
