CONFIGURATION:
This operation has been verified to occur on the ThinkPad 600 series and 770 series with the ACP X2 modem software, including the latest release of Release 2.36 Build 36.
Note: Not all models of the ThinkPad 770 and 600 come with the ACP modem.
SOLUTION:
Upgrade to the v.90 code by following the instructions on the IBM Support site.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This could cause a problem if an application such as an e-mail program, performs a scheduled dial-in and a shared a phone line is used. The x2 code will dial even if the line is in use.
