The ThinkPad(R) SuperDisk (LS-120) UltraslimBay Drive lets you save valuable hard disk drive (HDD) space. This option increases the storage capacity up to 120 MB on a single, 3.5-inch diskette, providing 83 times more storage than a traditional diskette. ThinkPad 600 customers can use the LS-120 diskette drive to:
This storage option can accommodate graphics, photos, sound, and video on a single diskette without compression. In addition to saving disk space, this
option delivers up to five times the performance (sustained data transfer rate) of the 1.44 MB diskette drive. The ThinkPad SuperDisk (LS-120) UltraslimBay Drive is read-write backwards-compatible with 1.44 MB and 720 KB DOS-formatted diskettes.
