NetView - synchronization vs objects in database

Question:

In general, synchronization time is a function of how many objects
are in your object database. To determine how many objects are in
your object database, type
  /usr/OV/bin/ovobjprint -S

With the base product alone, this number should be roughly 2 to 3
times the number of addressable devices in your network(s).

To ensure that your system performs at peak efficiency, make sure
that your ovwdb cache size exceeds the number of objects in the
object database. To increase the size of this cache, do this:
  1) Bring down all user interfaces
  2) smitty nv6000
  3) Configure, Set options for daemons,
Set options for topology discovery and database daemons,
     Set options for ovwdb daemon
  4) Change the number to something around 50% larger than the
number of objects in the database.

Insure that you have the latest ptfs installed.
