No keyboard interaction in sysback

Question:

Env:
  AIX 3.2.5
  RISC 590
  sysback 3.3.1.6

Desc:
Create a filesystem backup using the mkjfsback command
Restored in smit: command used: jfsrestore -f/dev/rmt0 -v -i1

It restored fine, but at the end prompted this message:
set onwer/mode for '.'? [yes or no]

Could not type y or n, nothing echoed. Hit return just echo t
he same prompt again. If you type yes it worked, but the
letters were never echoed. This works correctly from the
command line using the same command:

jfsrestore -f/dev/rmt0 -v -i1

Having tony look at the code

Response:

Action:
This has always been a problem in the old SMIT too. If you
think it should be resolved, you should open a PMR with defect
because the restbyinode command should not ask any questions when
getting its input from stdin. This is one I argued with them some
time ago and they promised to fix. Obviously never happened.

Next Action:
  Closing call
