Slow performance wit remote backups using sysback

Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.1.5
  RISC J30 and 43p-240
  sysback 4.1.1.0

Problem:
Anything that is backed up remotely using sysback is running
10 times slower, than when the customer was using sysback 3.3.3.16.

  Example:
Version 3.3.3.16 (without any kind of software compression)
  ------------------------------------------------------------
  Using the sysback command
  Backup remotely to file: 500k/sec
  Backup remotely to tape: 240k/sec (4mm 2gb 7006-001)

  Backup local to file: 500k/sec
  Backup remotely to tape: 300k/sec (4mm 2gb 7006-001)

Version 4.1.1 (without any kind of software compression)
  ---------------------------------------------------------
  Using the sysback command
  Backup remotely to file: 30k/sec
  Backup remotely to tape: 24k/sec (4mm 2gb 7006-001)

  Backup local to file: 500k/sec
  Backup remotely to tape: 300k/sec (4mm 2gb 7006-001)

So what changes have been made to the sbclient, sbserver or
sbwrite that would cause it to run this much slower remotely?

This is SEV 1 fix level \#1. This problem affects all remote
backups and restores regardless of the media device. The
problem was created about 6 weeks ago when the ability to
change network settings was added prior to the final code
given to the support group for testing.

This fix also includes a SMIT fix for a problem, in which a
SMIT error occurs ANY time a verify or restore is atempted
from a local or remote disk file!

Fixed with sysback 4.1.1.1
