mksysb failing on third-party SCSI tape drive

mksysb fails w/

   mkinsttape
   0512-0016 - mksysb attempt to build a bootable tape failed w/
return code 5 Why?

Response:

mksysb and mkinsttape are shell scripts.  After reading these scripts
and generally poking around, it seemed likely that /usr/sbin was not
in the user's path.  This was indeed the case.  Adding /usr/sbin to
the user's path and re-running mksysb fixed the problem.
